St. Petersburg

Russia’s second largest city celebrated its 300th anniversary in 2003. Originally planned by Tsar Peter the Great to be Russia’s window on Europe, the city retains cultural influence to this day. The Great Commission Church of the ECMU was begun in 2004. Alliance workers alongside this church have a vision of establishing a Community Center which will serve health and well-being needs of people in the church’s region of the city. As well, several families are studying Russian at a Cultural Learning Center in the city
